Blogging for Business

Have you tried Blogging? An innocent enough question, but for those of us who didn’t excel in Senior Creative Writing, the question can cause panic attacks and nightmarish flashbacks to Mrs. Hildebrand and that English credit needed for graduation.

Okay, so have you considered blogging? There are numerous types of blogs with a variety of topics and the appeal is their personal nature. Similarly, Blogging for Business is a way to enlarge your customer base by giving them a little glimpse into the person behind the counter.

"The personal nature of the blog is what they find appealing". ~ Ethan G. Salwe

I’ve been blogging for a little less than two years and sometimes I feel like I’m still trying to find my niche’. Bear in mind that creative writing caused me great stress in school. Nevertheless, the primary thing to remember is that a blog post does not have to be a long and complicated essay or thesis; sometimes, just a short paragraph will suffice.

~ "Blogging is not rocket science, it’s about being yourself, and putting what you have into it." ~ Unknown

My usual blog topics fit into three categories: Family, Faith and Photography. These are subjects that I’m passionate about; hence, the name of my Blog, Photographer’s Expose’ - Snapshots of Family, Faith and Photography.

"Blog often"

I try and blog three times a week, "Monday's Musing from Sunday's Service", "Website Wednesday", and "Friday's Foto's." Some weeks this is easier said than done.

Here are some ideas to get your creative blogging juices flowing:

*Current Events
*Trends
*Tutorials
*Participation in an Event
*Artist Interview
*Experiences
*Guest Blogger - This is something I had never considered and just this past week FrayBaby had a guest blogger. I love the idea.

If you haven’t tried blogging, give it a shot and don’t worry about Mrs. Hildebrand and passing Creative Writing; find something you are enthusiastic about…and write!

Have a great day!
